Hey there! Not sure how you ended up here, or whether that is a good or bad thing for you but here we are... in this together!

Speaking of... I guess we should have started with, Welcome to Aspirationally Yours, a newsletter I wish I could say I put a lot of planning into before starting but that would be a lie, primarily because I bought the domain in a moment of weakness and refuse to let it go to waste at this point.

Here is what this is: a weekly letter about the rooms I would furnish if I had unlimited time and a different personality, the books I am actually reading versus the books I keep meaning to read, and the things I am learning in the slightly unhinged way one learns things in midlife — which is to say, by buying the wrong books, taking the wrong courses, and developing strong opinions about subjects I knew nothing about a week ago.

Here is what this is not: a curated lifestyle brand. I do not have a curated lifestyle. I have a corner of a couch where the dog has flattened a cushion into a permanent dog-shaped indent, and I have made peace with this. The aspirational part of the title is doing real work. I am not the woman in these dream rooms. I am the woman writing letters to her.

Here is what you can expect from me, in case you stay: one letter a week, probably on Sundays, mostly. Sometimes a curated dream room (with affiliate links to the things in it, marked clearly so you know what is what). Sometimes a book I am actually reading and have actual opinions about. Sometimes a dispatch from the slightly chaotic project of trying to learn new things in midlife — which right now mostly involves preparing to move to the UK, figuring out which AI tools are actually useful versus merely loud, and accumulating strong opinions about throw pillows.

A few things worth saying upfront. The rooms are aspirational. That is the point. The book recommendations are honest — if a book disappointed me, I will say so. And some posts will include affiliate links, which means if you click and buy, I might earn a small commission at no cost to you. I only link to things I would mention anyway.
